Strong Saga exists to give one kind of answer: which piece of home gym equipment to buy so you spend once and train for years. No hype, and no claims we can’t back up. Nobody can buy a spot on a list here, or a better position on one, at any price.
Who we are
We’re a small editorial team based in the United States. We’re not a store, we don’t sell equipment, and we don’t make any. We write buying guides for people setting up a garage, basement or spare-room gym — usually on a budget, usually in less space than they’d like, and usually tired of guessing.
How we research
Every recommendation on this site is built the same way:
- Manufacturer specifications. Steel gauge, tensile strength, load ratings, footprint and warranty terms come from the maker’s own documentation, not a retailer’s summary.
- Verified owner reviews. We read the one-star reviews before the five-star ones. A complaint that keeps recurring — a bench pad gap, a wobbly upright, a dial that jams — counts for more than any single glowing write-up.
- Long-term ownership reports. Owner communities and independent reviewers who have used the product for months, not minutes.
- A live check before publishing. Every product we link to is re-checked before a guide goes up — at the maker’s own store where they sell direct, otherwise at a major retailer: the listing is real, it’s in stock, and the product on the page is the one we’re describing.
What we don’t do
We don’t run a testing lab, and we won’t pretend to. Nothing here is written from testing of our own, and any test result we cite is someone else’s. If a maker sends us a product and we take it, the page that discusses it says so. Having a unit here isn’t a test. If we use one, we’ll say exactly what we did and claim nothing more. We don’t sell rankings. There is no price for a spot on a list, for a higher position, or for staying on one. We do take sponsored posts, and the disclosure page says how those work.
How we make money
Strong Saga is supported by affiliate commissions, and sometimes by a labelled sponsored post. When you buy through a link on this site, the retailer pays us a small percentage at no extra cost to you. We link to the maker’s own store first wherever they sell direct — REP, Titan, Rogue and others — and to large retailers such as Amazon where they don’t. Commissions never decide what we recommend: a product earns its spot by being the right buy, and we’ll point you to a retailer we don’t earn from when that’s where the better deal is. Corrections
Specs change, listings change, and we make mistakes. If you spot one, tell us through the contact form with the page URL. We fix errors quickly and show the updated date on every guide.
