Strong Saga is supported by affiliate commissions, and sometimes by a sponsored post. This page explains both, in plain language.

The short version

Retailer programs

We take part in the affiliate programs of the equipment makers and retailers we link to. Where a maker sells direct — REP Fitness, Titan Fitness, Rogue, Fringe Sport, BowFlex and others — we link there first. Where they don’t, we link to a major retailer. Strong Saga is also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program; as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Buttons and links labelled “Buy direct”, “Check price” or naming a store are affiliate links where a program exists. Availability is accurate as of the date shown on each guide and is subject to change; the price shown by the retailer at the time of purchase is the one that applies.

Which programs

This page lists the programs we take part in as they are added. Links to a maker or retailer whose program we have not joined are plain links: we earn nothing from them, and we keep them because that is where the better buy is.

How this affects our recommendations

Commission doesn’t. We pick products by comparing manufacturer specifications, verified owner reviews and long-term ownership reports, and we say so on every guide. Rankings are not for sale. No payment puts a product on a list, moves it up one, or keeps a competitor off it, and neither does a free sample. What sponsorship can buy is a post. It is labelled at the top, and it is never a guide. The section below, Sponsored posts, review units and free products, says exactly how that works. When the better buy is somewhere we don’t earn a commission, we’ll tell you.

Sponsored posts, review units and free products

Money reaches this site in a few ways: affiliate commission, sponsored posts, ads if we ever run them, and product sent to us free for review. Here is what each one can and can’t buy.

Rankings are not for sale. That covers the buying guides, the storefront and anything we call a pick. No payment puts a product on a list, moves it up one, or keeps a competitor off it. Neither does a free sample. If a brand asks, the answer is no, and it stays no.

Sponsored posts carry a label at the top. If a company pays for a post, the word Sponsored sits at the top of that page, above the article, and it names the company that paid. You see it before you read anything, and you never have to click to find it.

A sponsored post is not a buying guide and carries no ranking. Paying for a post buys no place in a guide and moves nothing in one. Guides get decided the same way with a deal as without one.

Free products are disclosed where they come up. If a maker sends us a unit at no charge, the page that discusses it says so, and says whether it went back. We don’t run a testing lab. Having a unit here is not a test, and we won’t call it one. If we use one ourselves, we’ll say exactly what we did and claim nothing more.

Paid links are tagged. Links we were paid for, and links to a product sent to us free, carry a rel="sponsored" tag. That tells search engines the link was paid for and not earned. Our affiliate links are tagged too.

Ads and newsletter sponsorships, if we run them, are bought slots and are marked where you see them. Neither one changes what a guide says, or the order it says it in.

None of this changes the Amazon disclosure. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

These rules took effect on September 23, 2026, before we took a single payment or free product from any brand. If we’re ever paid for a page and one of these is missing from it, that’s our mistake. Tell us through the contact form and we’ll fix the page and say that we fixed it.
