The best power rack with pulley system for most home gyms is the Mikolo F4 2.0: a 1,200 lb cage with 27 height positions whose lat pulldown rides on two guide rods and pins your legs with a 5-level hold-down, so heavy pulldowns and low rows feel like a machine rather than a rope over a wheel. If you want a cage that also replaces a functional trainer, the Major Fitness F22 puts two independent 2:1 cable columns on a 1,600 lb, 2 x 3 in frame; if cable adjustability matters most, the GOIMU DP01 gives you 31 pulley heights and 1 in rack spacing; and if you are shopping on price, the SPORTSROYALS cage is the most-bought plate-loaded pulley rack on Amazon. This guide compares and ranks eight power racks with pulley systems on frame steel, weight rating, pulley design (single tower, dual-track or twin crossover columns), hole spacing, footprint and warranty, using the makers’ listings read on October 20, 2026.

Every rack here is plate-loaded: you slide your own Olympic plates onto a peg and the cable lifts them, which is why these cages cost a fraction of a weight-stack machine. If you would rather have a selectorized stack, our best cable machine for home gym ranking covers those, and if you are still deciding whether you need a full cage at all, read power rack vs squat rack first.

Ratings, dimensions and hole counts are the makers’ listed specifications read on October 20, 2026, not measurements of our own; rack heights are to the top of the uprights, so add room for the pull-up bar and your head when you plan the ceiling. If your garage is short on height or floor space, our guide on how to choose a squat rack for compact garage gyms covers the measuring.
Our pick
Mikolo F4 2.0: best power rack with pulley system overall
The F4 2.0 is the rack we would buy for most garages, and it is the same cage that sits in our best power racks under $500 ranking, now compared on its pulley instead of its price. The uprights are 50 x 50 mm steel with 27 height positions, the frame carries a 1,200 lb static rating, and the pulley rides on two steel guide rods at the back of the cage instead of a single post, which keeps the pull straight and smooth instead of tilting the way a single-post lat tower can. The cable itself is rated to 500 lb, far more than any plate stack you will load on a home machine.
What sets it apart from the other budget cages is the 5-level leg hold-down. On a plate-loaded lat pulldown with no leg roller, your body lifts off the seat somewhere around your own body weight; the F4 2.0’s roller pins your thighs so a heavy pulldown is actually a lat exercise. The cage also brings a low row station, dip bars, a 360° landmine, a lat bar, cable handles, a T-bar and J-cups in the box, and Mikolo sells the same frame as a combo with a bench, bar and plates for people starting from nothing. The trade-off is depth: the pulley tower adds length behind the cage, so measure front to back before you buy, and like every plate-loaded pulley the resistance is only as fine as the plates you own.
Major Fitness F22: best all-in-one power rack on Amazon
If the F4 is the value pick, the F22 is the one that replaces the most equipment. It is a full cage in 2 x 3 in 14-gauge steel (the listing specifies a 2 mm wall and 50 x 70 mm tube) with a 1,600 lb static rating, and instead of a single lat pulldown it has two independent 2:1 cable columns with a plate peg each, so cable crossovers, single-arm rows and face pulls work the way they do on a commercial functional trainer, and two people can train at once. The dual-triangle base is wide enough that Major Fitness says bolting to the floor is not required for normal use, and the attachment set covers J-hooks, safeties, foot pedals, a landmine, a T-bar, dip bars, a lat pulldown bar and band pegs.
The cost of that versatility is size and weight: 68.9 in deep, 55.5 in wide and 82.5 in tall, 243 lb of steel, and the full crossover width means the cables sit outside the lifting area rather than behind it. Plan a 7 ft ceiling at minimum and a spot where you can walk around the uprights. Major Fitness’s warranty is one year for parts, shorter than RitFit’s three years on the frame, which is the one line on the spec sheet where the F22 loses to a cheaper rack.
GOIMU DP01: the most adjustable cables in a cage
The DP01 is the cage for people who care about cable position more than frame heft. The two 2:1 pulleys are fully independent and adjust across 31 heights, and the J-hooks and safeties sit on 29 holes spaced one inch apart, which is the Westside-style spacing serious bench pressers want for setting safeties just under the chest. The frame is 2 x 2 in steel with a 2,000 lb listed rating, and the interior is 47.6 in wide, so there is room to squat without clipping the uprights. GOIMU lists the frame as expandable with its own add-on attachments.
The DP01 is a newer listing with far fewer reviews than the SPORTSROYALS or Fitness Reality racks, so the long-term reports are thin, and like the F22 the crossover-style pulleys take width rather than depth. It is the right pick if you want functional-trainer cable freedom inside a power rack footprint; it already appears in our best cable machine for home gym ranking for the same reason.
SPORTSROYALS: best budget power rack with pulley system
With more than 700 Amazon reviews, the SPORTSROYALS cage is the most-bought plate-loaded pulley rack in this comparison and the one most people search for when they type “power rack with pulley system”. The uprights are 50 x 50 mm steel with a 1.5 mm wall, the frame is rated for 1,200 lb and weighs 150 lb, and the pulley system has an upper and a lower station on precision bearing wheels with a PU-coated steel cable. There are 14 height levels for the J-hooks and safeties, and the box includes a lat bar, a row bar, a tricep rope, an ankle strap, dip stands, six band pegs, four plate posts and six accessory hooks, so the cage doubles as your storage.
The fine print: the cage ships in two boxes that can arrive on different days, the pulley is single-post (no dual-track rods, no leg hold-down), and 14 holes is coarse spacing for benching. If those three things do not bother you, it is the cheapest full pulley cage here with a long review record.
Fitness Reality 810XLT: the most-reviewed cage, pulley optional
The 810XLT is the most-reviewed cage in this comparison, with roughly 9,000 Amazon reviews at 4.8 stars, and its listing lets you buy the cage alone or with the lat pulldown and low row attachment or the cable crossover kit. The frame is 2 x 2 in steel with a capacity of 800 lb that Fitness Reality says was ASTM-rated at 2,000 lb; the safety arms are solid steel rod rather than hollow tube; the holes are standard 1 in, so third-party J-hooks and dip bars fit; and the multi-grip pull-up bar reverses to lower the cage height, which is the single most useful feature for a basement with a low ceiling. The elevated rear brace gives an extra foot of bench room and doubles as a foot plate for the low row.
Its weaknesses are the ones you would expect from a lighter, cheaper cage: the 800 lb rating is the lowest here, the pulley is an add-on rather than an integrated tower. Pick it for the ceiling flexibility and the review record, not for heavy cable work.
RitFit PPC-P3: best cable crossover in a power cage
RitFit’s PPC-P3 is a 3-in-1 cage, cable crossover and plate storage rack rated for 1,200 lb, and the cable system is the part of the listing RitFit put the most engineering into: nylon-coated cables on quality pulleys, dual stirrup handles that move through 15 heights, a lat pulldown bar, a row bar with a low-row foot tube and a 360° landmine. The attachment count runs past 20 pieces, including J-hooks, spotter arms, plate storage and band pegs. At 57.4 in deep, 44 in wide and 84.6 in tall it is the narrowest crossover cage here, which matters in a one-car garage.
RitFit backs the main frame for 36 months and the accessories for 12, the longest frame coverage in this ranking. The 84.6 in height is also the tallest, so this is a rack for a true 7 ft 6 in ceiling if you want to do pull-ups on it.
Major Fitness PLM03: heavy 2 x 3 in steel with 180° swivel pulleys
The PLM03 is the step between a budget 50 x 50 mm cage and the F22. It uses the same 2 x 3 in 14-gauge steel as its bigger sibling, reinforced with 16 bracing plates, for a 1,400 lb frame rating with 1,000 lb J-hooks and 800 lb safety arms. The cable crossover runs at a 2:1 ratio through 180° swivel pulleys, which keeps the cable from binding on angled pulls, and both the uprights and the pulley carriages have 15 positions. A multi-grip pull-up bar, a 360° landmine and four handle attachments are in the box, and Major Fitness sells it as a bare rack or as a package with a bench, bar and plates.
Compared with the F22 you give up the independent dual columns and the dual-triangle base, and the warranty is the same one year. Compared with the SPORTSROYALS you get a heavier frame and better pulleys for more money. It is the rack for someone who wants 2 x 3 in steel without paying for two full cable columns.
ULTRA FUEGO UF-896: the cheapest cage with a pulley option
The UF-896 is a 50 x 50 mm, 1.5 mm-wall cage with 10 J-hook and safety levels, 5-level dip handles, a landmine and a 2-year warranty, and it is sold with or without a lat pulldown and low row kit. The pulley version adds a lat bar, tricep rope, ankle strap, T-bar and six plate posts, and the whole thing measures 63 in deep, 47 in wide and 82.8 in tall with the pulley fitted. More than 1,100 reviews at 4.6 stars say the frame is sturdier than its weight suggests, and the laser-cut, powder-coated finish is better than most racks at this level.
It ranks last because 10 height levels is the coarsest spacing here and the 1,000 lb figure on the listing is a tension rating rather than a full static frame rating like the F22’s. For a first rack with a basic lat pulldown it does the job; our under-$500 racks guide covers it next to the cages without cables.
Add-on pulley kits for a rack you already own
If your cage is already bolted down, a plate-loaded lat pulldown and low row kit is cheaper than a new rack, as long as it fits your uprights. These three are the ones we found with a clear fit statement on the listing; a kit without one is a gamble on hole size and tube width.
FAGUS H lat pulldown attachment for 3 x 3 in racks. A high and low pulley set that bolts to 3 x 3 in uprights, with a lat bar and a low row handle included, nylon-bushing pulleys, a 500 lb listed load and about 50 lb of steel. It is the kit for the Titan- and REP-style 3 x 3 in racks that none of the cages above use, and it is a newer listing with only a handful of reviews. Check price at Amazon
Body-Solid Powerline PLA200X. The long-running lat attachment for Body-Solid’s PPR200X power rack: lat bar and low row bar, 1 in weight posts that take standard or Olympic plates with an adapter, nylon-coated 2,200 lb cables, 84 in tall when fitted, and a lifetime warranty, which no cage in this ranking offers. It fits the PPR200X only. Check price at Amazon
ULTRA FUEGO lat pulldown attachment. The pulley tower sold separately for the UF-896 cage above, with a double-cable pulley, lat bar, straight bar, tricep rope, handles, ankle strap and two plate posts for 1 in and 2 in plates; 81 in tall and 12 in wide at the base. ULTRA FUEGO says plainly that it fits its own cage only. The Fitness Reality 810XLT’s lat and low row kit works the same way: an option on the cage’s listing above, not a universal part. Check price at Amazon
Universal rack-mounted kits exist from Titan, Valor and others, sold direct or through their brand stores, and they are the source of most of the Reddit threads about cables binding or carriages tilting: the fit depends on your rack’s hole spacing, hole diameter (1 in vs 11/16 in) and whether it has a rear crossmember to anchor the top pulley. Check all three before you order one.
How to choose a power rack with pulley system
Single tower, dual-track or twin columns. The cheapest cages hang one pulley off a post behind the rack (SPORTSROYALS, UF-896, the 810XLT kit): fine for lat pulldowns and low rows, prone to tilting under uneven loads. A dual-track tower (Mikolo F4 2.0) runs the carriage on two guide rods for a straighter pull. Twin independent columns (F22, DP01, PPC-P3, PLM03) turn the cage into a cable crossover, at the cost of width.
Pulley ratio. A 1:1 pulley lifts the plates you load; a 2:1 pulley (F22, DP01, PLM03) halves the felt resistance but doubles the cable travel, which is what you want for long-range moves like crossovers and single-arm rows. Load twice the plates for the same pulldown weight. Our functional trainer pulley ratio explainer goes through the math. If you would rather have a guided bar and two weight stacks in one frame, see our best functional trainer with Smith machine ranking.
Leg hold-down. A plate-loaded pulldown with no leg roller stops being useful somewhere near your body weight, because you lift off the seat. Only the F4 2.0 ships one here; the others need a bench and a bar across your lap, or a separate hold-down attachment.
Frame steel and rating. 50 x 50 mm (about 2 x 2 in) uprights with a 1.5 mm wall and a 1,000 to 1,200 lb rating are the floor for a cage you lift inside alone. 2 x 3 in 14-gauge (F22, PLM03) is the next step, and the 2,000 lb figure on the DP01 is a listed maximum, not something you will ever load.
Hole spacing. One-inch spacing (DP01) lets you set safeties exactly under the bar on bench; 27 positions (F4 2.0) is close; 14 (SPORTSROYALS) or 10 (UF-896) means the safeties may sit an inch or two lower than ideal.
Ceiling and floor. Every rack here stands 82.5 to 84.6 in tall, so an 8 ft ceiling clears the frame, and a 7 ft ceiling clears it only if you give up pull-ups or reverse the pull-up bar on the 810XLT. The pulley tower adds depth behind the cage and twin columns add width; the compact option is the PPC-P3 at 44 in wide. Our ceiling height guide has the method for measuring, and rubber mats from our flooring guide protect the floor from the plate stack.
What else you will need. Olympic plates for the pulley peg and the bar, a bench, and a barbell. Put the rack, plates and bench into the home gym cost calculator to see the total, or browse the best home gym equipment by budget hub for a full setup around each rack.

Frequently asked questions
Which power rack has the best pulley system?
Among the plate-loaded cages ranked here, the Mikolo F4 2.0 has the best pulley for pulldowns and rows because its carriage runs on two steel guide rods and it ships with a leg hold-down. For cable crossovers and single-arm work, the Major Fitness F22 and GOIMU DP01 are better, since both have two independent 2:1 columns. Weight-stack racks such as the REP Ares 2.0 and Bells of Steel Hydra are smoother still but are sold direct at a much higher price.
Is a power rack with a pulley system worth it?
Yes, if you want lat pulldowns, cable rows and tricep pushdowns without buying a separate machine. A pulley cage costs far less than a cage plus a cable station and uses one footprint. It is not worth paying extra for if you only squat, bench and press, or if you have no Olympic plates to load on the peg.
Can you add a pulley system to a squat rack?
Often, yes. Fitness Reality and ULTRA FUEGO sell lat pulldown kits that bolt onto their own cages, and third-party plate-loaded pulley kits fit many 2 x 2 in and 2 x 3 in racks with standard 1 in or 11/16 in holes. Check the hole size, the upright tube size and whether the kit needs a rear crossmember before you buy; an integrated rack avoids the compatibility question.
How much should I spend on a power rack with a pulley system?
Prices change often, so we do not print them; the buttons above show the current price at Amazon. As a rule the SPORTSROYALS, UF-896 and 810XLT kits sit at the budget end, the Mikolo F4 2.0 and RitFit PPC-P3 in the middle, and the Major Fitness F22 and PLM03 and GOIMU DP01 at the top of the plate-loaded range. Weight-stack racks sold direct cost several times more.
What is the difference between a 1:1 and a 2:1 pulley ratio?
With a 1:1 ratio the cable lifts the plates you load, so 50 lb on the peg is 50 lb in your hands and the cable travels the same distance the plates rise. With a 2:1 ratio you feel half the loaded weight but get twice the cable travel, which suits crossovers, flys and single-arm rows. The F22, DP01 and PLM03 use 2:1; the single-tower cages are 1:1.
Do I need a weight stack, or is plate-loaded fine?
Plate-loaded is fine for most home gyms and is why these racks are affordable: you already own the plates for your barbell. The trade-offs are slower weight changes, no fine 5 lb steps unless you own small plates, and a less smooth feel than a guided stack. If you superset cable work constantly, a weight-stack machine from our cable machine guide may be worth the extra cost.
How tall a ceiling do I need for a power rack with a pulley?
The racks here stand 82.5 to 84.6 in (about 6 ft 11 in to 7 ft 1 in) tall. An 8 ft ceiling is comfortable; a 7 ft ceiling fits most of them with no room for pull-ups. The pulley tower itself does not add height, but the lat bar hangs from the top, so you need a few inches above the frame to thread the cable and change attachments.
Bottom line: the Mikolo F4 2.0 if you want the best plate-loaded pulldown in a cage, the Major Fitness F22 if you want a full cable crossover and two training stations, the GOIMU DP01 if you want 1 in spacing and 31 cable heights, and the SPORTSROYALS cage if you want the cheapest proven pulley rack.
